2002 saw UK number ones for Westlife, Darius, George Harrison and Elvis!
Paul Ruben's painting "The Massacre of Innocents" sold at Sotherbys for £49.5m and the Mars Odyssey found signs of large ice deposits on the planet Mars. It was also the year that MadAbout became a reality.

"I had been an HR client of consulting and training companies for many years and had grown irritated and weary of punishing costs, lack of real interest in 'us' (the client) and they always sent me a sales person to talk about our needs - I REALLY wanted to see the trainer or consultant that was going to be working with my people. So in 2002, I decided to do it myself! The idea was to deliver real training that made an actual difference and inspired people to do things differently. Essentially: it had to make a difference, and that is where MadAbout came from.
For a number of years I (with support from some trusted friends and colleagues) delivered a variety of training solutions for clients. I was then fortunate to learn about Applied Behaviour Analysis and this learning has revolutionised what we do and how we do it.
Since 2002 we have worked really hard to build strong relationships with our clients from a wide range of sectors, we've enjoyed tremendous growth, and I am so proud to have a client-base of outstanding bluechip pedigree. Today, and for all of our clients, we continue to provide a comprehensive and broad spectrum of bespoke workplace solutions to companies globally. Our theme now is around navigating a 21st century workplace and all that entails for Boards, leaders, managers, employees and the younger generation joining the workforce today.
Lots of organisations like ours say it, but I believe that we truly deliver solutions that meet the needs of the people we see, the clients who choose us and the organisations they work within. What makes us think we are doing it? Most of our work comes to us via repeat business and referrals, which tells us that we are continuing to provide the top-level service I always expected as a client and I know our clients expect from us."
