What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We want you to know and understand that we're a small company driven by ethical principles, committed to fostering a culture of conscience rather than one centered on mere compliance, such as that required by GDPR. This ethos means we cannot fathom engaging in any dubious practices that involve exploiting your data.
While you're on our site, if you choose to benefit from the products and services we offer, we kindly request personally identifiable information (like your name or email) to facilitate communication or provide our offerings.
In the future, we might consider utilising Facebook or Linked In ads occasionally. However, our current focus is squarely on assisting people, and our budget is too constrained to allocate resources to advertising. Furthermore, we believe that if you genuinely seek our assistance and resources, you'll readily engage with us without us bombarding you with intrusive ads. Fair?

Communications
When you provide your Personal Information, we may use it to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information about content relating to the Site. You may unsubscribe at any time from this service, which means your Personal Information will be removed from our contact database, and you will no longer receive communications from us.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you're using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here:

Our Third Party Data Processors
Hubspot
Hubspot is our current data processor, which collects and stores your personal data that you provide when you complete our sign-up forms.
We rely on your consent as the lawful basis for processing your data, using a double-opt in process. This means that we've made it clear to you what you're signing up for in our sign-up forms (whether completed online or in person at conferences, trade-shows, meetings etc.) and that when you submit your details, you won't receive anything from us until you've verified that the email address you gave us is actually yours. If you don't complete this step, then you won't be able to get any of our stuff to support you in your professional development or that of your team. (That'd be such a shame - when we're here to help - wouldn't it? Besides, you can opt-opt whenever you want.)
Your personal data is stored within our Hubspot account, in order to allow us to create and use distribution lists, send marketing email campaigns, and place online advertisements (if we ever get round to blowing the budget on ads). According to the lovely peeps at Hubspot, in the performance of these services, they may transfer your personal data to certain of their sub-processors (who, as described in their Data Processing Agreement, perform some critical services, such as helping Hubspot prevent abuse and providing support to their customers).
