What training courses do you offer?
Generally, we do not offer “off the shelf” courses. Training needs vary from client to client, so we write personalised courses for each client that then become the property of that client. |

Yes! If you do not have training facilities within your location, our team will be happy to suggest alternative accommodation. Please ask for details. |

Why should I consider training at all?

How do you make sure delegates put their learning into practice and it doesn’t become a
waste of money?
Every programme is action focused – a delegate leaves the programme with clear actions for change back in the workplace. MadAbout will work with you and your managers to make sure these actions are put into practice and the training doesn’t become a waste of money! |

You call it corporate adventure, don’t you mean outward bound? I’ve heard all about outward bound – and don’t like the sound of it!
We know why you say that and we agree with you!
A MadAbout Programme is NOT like the outward bound activities you may have experienced or seen on the television. Not at all!
We use the outdoors as a way of demonstrating the skills and behaviours that actually are seen and used in your workplace today. It is a different environment that allows individuals an opportunity to experiment. We won’t make anyone “swim under a boat” or anything terrifying like that. |

How can abseiling help my team develop or improve their leadership skills – I’m cynical about
all of this!
Your cynicism is healthy – and helps us work with you to ensure that the programme we design delivers exactly what it needs to.
Any outdoor event (including abseiling) can be used (when appropriate) to get an individual to think about focus, commitment, determination, decision making (all competencies required in successful managers and leaders).
If this is appropriate to your business – we may recommend it. If it isn’t – we won’t! |

Doesn’t ‘Outdoors’ mean ‘Physical’?
Not at all. Whilst outdoor exercises are used, they are designed around inclusiveness and participation and are not overtly physical (unless a client specifically requests physical exercises). |

With the corporate adventure element, not everyone is as adventurous – how do we manage this?
We operate the philosophy: “Challenge by Choice” – what this means in practice is that we will provide
an environment (that is safe), an opportunity for delegates to “play”, “practice” and experiment – each individual can choose to what degree they wish to do that.
We’ll challenge the delegates to participate – based on what they are on the programme to learn. We will never force someone to do anything. |

No, not at all. MadAbout programmes are completely tailored to take into account your culture, your needs, the delegate requirements, your environment and budget.
